We are the home to the Cape Cod Community Media Center which has served as the media education and technology resource for the seven villages of Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich and Chatham.
The town of Yarmouth Massachusetts was named Mattacheese by the native Americans, incorporated in 1639 and named from a seaport at the mouth of the Yar, in Norfolk County, England. Originally, Yarmouth covered the lands of Harwich, Brewster, Chatham and Barnstable when founded by the Pilgrims. Yarmouth is comprised of three beautiful distinct villages, Bass River, South Yarmouth and West Yarmouth. White sandy beaches on both the north and south side of the Cape, beautiful Bass River and historic Antique homes along the Olde Kings Highway (Route 6A) add to the wonderful experience of Yarmouth.
