Cape Cod mourns the loss of a great REALTOR

It is with a heavy heart that we mention the passing of Amy Surette Greene, REALTOR. She was an inspiration, a great teacher, leader and much more. She was a pleasure to work with and always had a word of encouragement. She was a leader in our industry and she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her, her family and all those whom she touched.

Henry J. DiGiacomo Chief Executive Officer of Cape Cod Association of Realtors had this to say:

Amy Surette Greene was an outstanding REALTOR® who always had a smile on her face and possessed a positive, can-do attitude. Amy was a consistent top producer who literally helped tens of thousands of home buyers and sellers experience the American Dream of home ownership on Cape Cod & the Islands. Amy was an accomplished broker/owner and co-founder of ERA Cape Real Estate, LLC. Amy was a devoted volunteer leader to CC&IAOR and CC&IMLS and served tirelessly as our 1996 President and literally served on every committee and task force to help her fellow REALTORS®. Amy was recognized by her peers for her exemplary leadership and contributions as the 1998 and 2000 REALTOR® of the Year and was also recognized for her consistent long-term service and devotion as the 2002 recipient of the Charles F. Lockhart Distinguished Service Award. Most recently Amy M. Surette Greene served as our 2009 MLS Task Force Chair; 2009 CC&IAOR and CC&IMLS Bylaws and Rules and Regulations Chairperson; and as 2009 MLS Fines Chairperson. Amy was an accomplished real estate instructor throughout Massachusetts and took pride in helping educate her fellow REALTORS® and friends. The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® recognized Amy for her quality instruction by bestowing on Amy the highest award for professional instructors, the 2004 Educator of the Year Award and recently chaired the MAR Instructor Sub-Committee. Amy also served as a 2009 Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Director, was the 2000, 2001 and 2003 Massachusetts Regional Vice President for Cape Cod & the Islands, was a very generous and ardent supporter of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) and was a very active volunteer for MAR and the National Association of REALTORS®. We all mourn the loss of Amy Surette Greene and extend our deepest sympathy to the Surette, Greene and Martin families. Notice of services is expected early next week. Respectfully, Henry J. DiGiacomo Chief Executive Officer

Hello

"Why is the family so important to Muslims?"

The family is the foundation of Islamic society. The peace and security offered by a stable family unit is greatly valued, and seen as essential for the spiritual growth of its members. A harmonious social order is created by the existence of extended families; children are treasured, and rarely leave home until the time they marry.

Love is much nicer to be in than an automobile accident, a tight girdle, a higher tax bracket or a holding pattern over Philadelphia.
